·        Spread: 5 to 7 feet

·        Bloom Time: late summer

·        Bloom: terminal clusters of tiny jasmine-like creamy-white flowers arranged in whorls of seven; mature to tiny fruits surrounded by pink flower-like calyxes which enlarge and turn purplish-red into the fall ; blooms on new wood

·        Light: full sun to part shade

·        Soil: thrives in moist, acidic, well-drained soils, but adaptable to most well-drained soil conditions

·        Moisture: medium

·        Use: lawn specimen or accent; informal hedge; woodland garden; 4-season interest; flowers attract butterflies and other pollinators;

·        Care: prune to shape in late winter and to control random suckering; fertilize in spring

·        Concerns: no serious insect or disease problems once established
