·        Bloom: narrow-petaled 2 1/2 inch lavender-pink flowers with spider-type form

·        Use: fall color; mass, group, or edging; containers; cut flower

·        Care: pinch back foliage in early June to keep compact and delay flowering; blooms do not require pinching; to increase winter-hardiness, cut back to 6 inches after last frost and insulate with winter mulch; divide as needed every 2-3 years in the spring

·        Concerns: no serious insect of disease problems, but may be damaged by aphids, thrips, and spider mites

·        Notes: uniform rounded masses of lobed green foliage; blooms profusely starting the  first year; flowers attract butterflies and bees; rabbit and deer tolerant
