·        Use: ground cover for banks, woodland gardens, along paths; in moist areas near water gardens, streams, or ponds

·        Care: deep-water as needed; fertilize monthly during growing season; trim foliage to 6 inches after hard frost in fall; monitor to minimize unwanted spread

·        Concerns: no serious insect or disease problems; somewhat susceptible to rust and leaf spots

·        Notes: low-growing, creeping ground cover; continuous flowering from spring to frost; mound of attractive deep green foliage with silver veining turns burgundy in the shade; attracts bees and other pollinators; spreads by underground rhizomes, self-seeding, and by rooting where leaf nodes contact soil
