·        Bloom: sprays of small creamy-white bell flowers on burgundy wands rising up to 30-34 inches above foliage

·        Light: thrives in part shade

·        Soil: best in rich, moist, humusy, well-drained soil

·        Moisture: medium; consistent moisture if grown in full sun; once established thrives in dry shade

·        Use: rock gardens, cottage gardens, borders and open woodland gardens; filler in containers; cut flower; effective as an edger along paths or walkways

·        Care: low maintenance; remove stems of faded flowers and dead leaves; apply winter mulch after the ground freeze to help prevent root heaving; divide in early spring every 3-4 years

·        Concerns: no serious insect or disease problems; frost heaving of roots may occur when winter temps fluctuate widely; watch for vine weevil and heuchera rust

·        Native to: hybrid cultivar; genus native to Europe and Asia

·        Notes: clump forming; spreading mound of large, ruffled, apricot-orange leaves with a silvery overlay and bright pink undersides; flowers attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds; salt tolerant; deer tolerant
