·        Bloom: small, creamy-white flowers on slender, wiry stems rising to 14 inches above foliage mound

·        Light: thrives in part shade

·        Soil: best in rich, moist, humusy, well-drained soil

·        Moisture: medium; consistent moisture if grown in full sun; once established thrives in dry shade

·        Use: focal point; front of border, rock garden or container; along pathways; mass planting; cut flower, cut foliage

·        Care: low maintenance; remove stems of faded flowers and dead leaves; apply winter mulch after the ground freeze to help prevent root heaving; divide in early spring every 3-4 years

·        Concerns: no serious insect or disease problems; frost heaving of roots may occur when winter temps fluctuate widely; watch for vine weevil and heuchera rust

·        Native to: hybrid cultivar; genus native to Europe and Asia

·        Notes: compact habit; noted for its foliage which changes with the season; in spring and fall, each rounded, shallowly-lobed leaf chartreuse foliage with brick red coloration radiating from midrib of  in spring and fall; in summer, leaves lighten to chartreuse and develop a silvery overlay; evergreen in mild climates; flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds; increased tolerance of high heat and humidity; salt tolerant, black walnut tolerant
