·        Bloom: sprays of small creamy-white bell flowers on slender stems rising 20-24 inches above foliage

·        Light: thrives in part shade

·        Soil: best in rich, moist, humusy, well-drained soil

·        Moisture: medium; consistent moisture but not wet

·        Use: rock, cottage, and woodland gardens; beds and borders; filler in containers; cut flower; effective as an edger along paths or walkways

·        Care: low maintenance; remove stems of faded flowers and dead leaves; apply winter mulch after the ground freeze to help prevent root heaving; divide in autumn every few years

·        Concerns: no serious insect or disease problems; frost heaving of roots may occur when winter temps fluctuate widely; watch for vine weevil and heuchera rust

·        Native to: hybrid cultivar

·        Notes: prized for its dramatic foliage interest; compact mound of deeply-cut, maple-shaped foliage; leaves emerge bronze-red in spring and mature to deep green in summer; evergreen in mild climates; heat and humidity tolerant; heucherellas are a cross between heucheras and tiarellas and have more pointed and pronounced lobes than heucheras
