·        Bloom: bell-shaped pale lavender to white flowers on grayish-yellow scapes up to 36 inches tall

·        Light: part shade to full shade

·        Soil: organically rich, well-drained

·        Moisture: average, consistent

·        Use: shade and woodland gardens, borders, backgrounds; effective in groups or massed

·        Care: low maintenance

·        Concerns: slugs, occasional foliar nematodes; leaves eaten by rabbits and deer; leaves subject to damage in hail storms; plants infected with Hosta Virus X (HVX), tobacco rattle virus, or tomato ring spot virus should be immediately removed and destroyed

·        Native to: genus native to Japan and Korea

·        Notes: one of the oldest gold Hosta cultivars; exceptionally sun-tolerant; heart-shaped, sear suckered, golden leaves (to 9 inches long and 8 inches wide) with white undersides emerge lime green and slowly brighten to golden-yellow, brightest on plants exposed to 1/2 day of sun
