·        Bloom: small, creamy-white flowers on slender, wiry stems rising 20-24 inches above foliage mound

·        Light: thrives in part shade; dislikes full sun because of pale leaf color

·        Soil: best in rich, moist, humusy,  well-drained soil

·        Moisture: medium; consistent moisture

·        Use: cottage, and woodland gardens; shady beds and borders; filler in containers; cut flower; effective as an edger along shady paths or walkways

·        Care: low maintenance; remove stems of faded flowers and dead leaves; apply winter mulch after the ground freeze to help prevent root heaving; divide in autumn every few years

·        Concerns: no serious insect or disease problems; frost heaving of roots may occur when winter temps fluctuate widely; watch for vine weevil and heuchera rust

·        Native to: hybrid cultivar

·        Notes: low, mounding habit; noted for its different shades of ginger-caramel foliage through the seasons; newest spring leaves are pale amber with a silvery overlay, maturing to pastel ginger-green in the summer; evergreen in mild climates; flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds; salt tolerant, black walnut tolerant
